As far as I recall Ampadu didn't have the Skybet arm flashes while other, older players in the team did.

So what happens when an under 18 makes a first team appearance?
Ryan Sessengon definitely wore Fulham's Grosvenor Casino sponsored kit when he was 17, with sky bet patches too.

No-one said betting was evil, that’s just Ed’s wishful thinking to justify his crap
If you read my post I said the Trust's belief system is that betting is evil, not that someone said those exact words. I stand by that. There were some very strong views against betting at that meeting, particularly by one Trustee. Were you there? I don't recall seeing you at the meeting.

Ask not what the club can do for you, but what you can do for the club.
I tried that and offered some ideas up to the Trust with no reply. So...

The Trust has a clear policy on gambling sponsorship and it seems like the correct decision was reached in line with that policy.
Yes, it's the policy that is ridiculous not the enforcement of it. The Trust's role is to govern in the best interests of Exeter City, not make arbitrary decisions based on their own personal beliefs. What happens if they become vegan? Does that mean pasties and sausage rolls will be banned on matchdays? What about if they all find God, will supporters have to sing the Lord's Prayer before kick-off? It's complete madness. Leave morality and philosophy for society to debate and leave the nation's lawmakers to decide what is legal or not. We're a football club, not the Houses of Parliament.

You should really get into a debate with Dale Vance, at Forest Green Rovers, I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that ! :ROFLMAO:

Just because you disagree with a policy does not make it ridiculous. The decision to not accept sponsorship from betting companies has been both publicly discussed and clearly stated. If there was a groundswell of opinion against the decision then I’m sure it could be looked at it again. In fact, if anything, the opposite appears to be true and there might well have been pressure to implement a ban if there wasn’t one already in place.

They won’t have Skybet on the shirt until the player turns 18.

I know a few people who have offered good ideas and didn’t get a reply.

Did these people demand a reply? Did they chase it up why they didn't get a reply? I know I would have chased it up to the point where if it became obvious I was blatantly being ignored then i'd give up. It's worth remembering that there could be many reasons why someone doesn't reply to something and I have been guilty in the past of coming down on someone like a ton of bricks labelling them ignorant arses because they have failed to reply to a letter / email or whatever when it actually transpired that there were genuine reasons why a reply wasn't given. Just that I had not accounted for these and not given them the benefit of the doubt in the first instance.

It helps to not assume that just because you have offered up ideas or contacted somebody about something and not got a reply that it doesn't mean to say the people contacted aren't interested in you or what you have got to say / offer.

As a trust member if I did contact them about anything then I would expect a reply eventually after a few attempts at trying to obtain one, otherwise i would come to the same conclusion as you which would be fair enough IMO.
