Weighted PPG and play-offs for League 2?

Part of the reason league two voted for no relegation is because it’s likely the national league may well accept this. People forget that Barrow will be coming up anyway (to replace Bury) and so the second promotion place would be the one that replaced Stevenage. Given the cost and logistics of...

Weighted PPG and play-offs for League 2?

League 2 have voted to end the league. The only reason this is not official is because it has to be ratified by the EFL and FA. The only thing that doesnt seem to be confirmed is whether it was weighted or unweighted PPG to decide final positions, as i have seen reports saying both (although in...

Weighted PPG and play-offs for League 2?

No the only change to the important places in the table is Cheltenham moving above us by 0.6pts

Just how should we finish the season?

If it is true, i think its a fair decision, and admittedly an easy one for League 2, as the only contentious issue was around promoting fourth place, and the impact on us and Cheltenham, as well as the other two play off teams feeling a little hard done by. If the play off games are to go ahead...

Just how should we finish the season?

News coming out that despite League 1 not reaching an agreement, League 2 have agreed that the season is cancelled as things stand with final table based on a weighted PPG. There will then be a two legged play off semi final, and a final.

Just how should we finish the season?

This is obviously if the season cannot be finished, which is my preference. But to finish behind closed doors, is just not financially viable for league 1 and 2 clubs, unless they managed to get several thousand watching on ifollow all paying 15quid a game, which isn’t going to happen. what...

Just how should we finish the season?

As much as it pains me, ppg seems the only fair way. That would obviously put Cheltenham above is which is a killer, but I see no other way. To soften the blow slightly, I’d prefer that only automatic places got promoted as I’m not sure giving 4th place promotion would represent how the play...

Where have you seen that? Without wanting to spend time adding up all the shares in the confirmation statement, does anybody know how many shares have been issued, and whether all par values of each share are the same (whether preference or ordinary), that generates the £40k of share capital?

Its also a shame that they didn't quote the right number, given our RE have decreased by £616k!!

There is a big difference between cashflow and financial profits/losses recorded in a period. The transfer fees received would have been recognised when they were contractually due (so any initial fees from Watkins/stockley etc). This would have meant financial results look better in the year...
