    Old MOTD & Big Match.

If you like watching the old stuff (even before I remember!) this YouTube account has some classics, and has recent updates: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJFRRzswIV_2wzIukOKqaNQ/featured The Forest-Everton cup tie from 1967 (the latest MOTD to be added) is entertaining, featuring some...

Barrow A.F.C. v Exeter City F.C. Match Day Thread

Teams are so inconsistent we'll probably go into the final day with play-off hopes alive. Don't ask who we play ...

    Odds & sods

I checked this with the programmes (thanks, Grecian Archive!) and my own dodgy memory. When I first started going to SJP the "reserve" fixtures were listed as St Lukes, as City didn't have a team in the league - as that link shows. Seems remarkable that a full-time outfit had no matchday squad...

Barrow A.F.C. v Exeter City F.C. Match Day Thread

By the end of this set of L2 games City could be anywhere from 5th to 11th (in theory 12th, but if we've lost 15-0 we'll have bigger problems!). Everyone else is doing their best to keep us in the hunt, we need to do our own favours now. Prediction: 2-1 win, and a red card each.

Well done City. Other results not too bad (except Bolton's comeback win). Still well placed, with the goal difference 'bonus point'.

Do You Want a Play Off Space ? Yay or Nay ?

Our best chance of promotion is winning 2 penalty shootouts, with Jokull the Hero. So vote Yay, just to see it happen. (For "best", I mean "only".)

    Anyone know the scores?

The Echo Football Final was a remarkable achievement really, especially in the 70s: old style type setting (no fancy computer layouts) had to be done in a few minutes, then the copies were out the door and onto Devon General buses, turning up at petrol stations and the like by 6 pm. The match...

    Odds & sods

Imagine an Easter weekend with no motorways (but a much bigger rail network), and going from Brighton to Nottingham to Torquay, for 3 games in 4 days.

    Anyone know the scores?

I did that a few times (not 4+ times in one game though!). The problem of course was that they thought they were talking to their own supporters. I once called a club (may have been Northampton) and the nice lady answered the phone: "hang on, we've just scored, we're 1-0 up, yes!". I wasn't so...
