    Sonny Cox

Cox was one very very tiny glimmer of light against Cambridge. He looked a lot more physical and sharper than I’ve seen him in the past, so I guess the loan did him a bit of good. No harm in starting him with our current striking issues. He can’t do any worse.

Cambridge United v Exeter City Official Matchday Thread.

That was not worth getting up for. Terrible shape, positioning, couldn’t pass to another City player, reliant on moments of individual skill to craft chances, and easily outplayed by an average team who just had to employ a press and we panicked. Once the first goal went in, it never looked like...

    Message to Both Boards.......

Plenty of City affiliations at Sorrento! Canham’s very well thought of there as he was a key part of a very successful period. Always nice to see one of our youth products going on to have some form of success, no matter where. He’s been in WA for a while now I think, so clearly likes the Perth...

You’d probably get a decent price for that in a part of Western Australia

    Caldwell out?

Thanks. I don’t listen to MNFC largely due to the length. But will give this episode a listen.

    Caldwell out?

Rather than bicker over what or wasn’t said or the intent behind it, does anybody have a link to the comments and the context they were said in? I missed the comments originally.

    Caldwell out?

So blimmin’ frustrating reading this whole thread since Tuesday for so many reasons. First off, we’ve no idea why the club haven’t sacked Caldwell, so it’s frustrating that a few people have suggested it’s because we can’t afford to sack him (and thus we should sack the board). We’d be far...

    Caldwell out?

Would completely agree with this. Plus players rarely move to clubs like ours in January if they’re tearing up trees elsewhere (unless we dip into non-league but that’s a lot of pressure to put on a striker untested at this level).

How much is Exeter City worth?

Forest Green hardly Drew in crowds in the pre-Vince days, so I think it’s more the club fitting around one man with his narrative. I think if I was an FGR supporter I’d be relatively content, even given the abysmal start to the season. But it’s pretty clear what they stand for. To be clear I’m...

Yep. Providing we’re making the right decisions. If we can set ourselves up for success in the next phase each time, it’s doable. If we went up to the Championship I’d want us to at least have a fighting chance of staying up. That may mean taking 5 years rather than 1 but if it means the club...

Mate, can you imagine the grief here if the Trust had somebody on the board in Oz 🤣 In all seriousness, between family, work and a few other things I really would struggle for time. I think that probably is one reason why we have the makeup on the board we do. We have some very experienced...

I think we got a bit complacent last time we got into L1 as well. I think the question becomes how do we push on and stabilise at this level rather than congratulate ourselves on promotion. As I say, I think Caldwell was part of the plan to do better but it hasn’t worked out. And very few...

I’m ok with that. We make slow and steady progress. I’d rather that than taking a moonshot with far more risk than reward.

    Caldwell out?

Better performance: yes. Good performance: no Lack of firepower is painfully obvious. Had we played like this after 3 losses, I think most of us would be positive that we were about to turn a corner. But in our current malaise, it doesn’t really say much. At least the players looked up for...

Don’t disagree with a lot of this, especially the last sentence. And I’d totally agree on the assumptions being dangerous. I don’t think it’s by any means nailed on that we would have a right to be challenging at the top, that our academy will produce another windfall, and that our next manager...
