Exclusive: Exeter City set to sign Hull City player ahead of 11pm deadline

Exeter City are set to swoop to sign Hull City’s James Scott before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline, sources have revealed to Football League World this morning.

If he wants out, then the second part might not well follow.

You buy into the way we run - this is the outcome. We can't stand in players ways.

Why would the second not necessarily follow max? Because the player might get the hump and stop performing? That wouldn't say a lot about his professionalism would it. If he continued playing and scoring it would only strengthen his reputation along with leaving for free. We can't stand in a player's way? That's definitely not cast in stone. It may be an ethos we aspire to when it comes to very talented young academy players as that is a definite attraction for youngsters to come to us, but this ain't that case.

White was good in his first game at home, when he came on as sub and I thought he looked a real find.

Away at MK Don's, he didnt look quite so assured and too often left their right sidede players to run past him, into dangerous positions. I wasnt sure if this was how he was told to play, tactically, or was simply a lack of awareness.

The next few games should give us a better chance to assess what his potential is.

I agree he didn't cover himself in glory. When they ran past him he then stood with his hands spread as if to say who is covering rather than run after them and try and get the ball back
