Why would it? The buy back clause which isn't uncommon only happens if certain circumstances occur e.g. Debts are unpaid etc? Anyone taking over the club would want to be seen as agreeable in order for negotiations to come to an acceptable point for both buyer and seller. This is what happened recently where York City Trust had the option of buying back the club despite the owner then trying to renege but couldn't as it was legally binding
