While out running last week, I saw some strange things pass me on the back of an odd looking military vehicle. I decided that they couldn't be missile launchers because they look more like something that would be used in construction.

Apparently they were these things!

Not something we have ourselves so most likely in transit from the US to Germany where the Ukrainians will be trained. It still hasn't been officially announced but if the Pentagon are moving equipment into place (which costs a lot to do) they must be pretty confident Biden will imminently sign off on it.

Zelensky arriving in the US where he will meet with Biden and address Congress (rumours that he will visit London on his way back):

The US have rolled out exactly the kind of red carpet welcome he would have been hoping for including confirmation of sending the Patriot battery:

One of the world's shortest conversations.

Zelensky: hi Joe. We need more money. Lots of it.
Biden: ok you can have $1.5bn.
Zelensky: ok, but we need more.
Biden: well you can't have it.
Zelensky: mmm...ok then

It didn't really need a visit but it makes for good photo opportunities and poll fillips.

Ukraine's PR / propaganda game has been absolutely top-notch throughout:

The St Petersburg troll factory and co are completely outclassed and as a result has barely even bothered to try.

Another Russian Tycoon dies from a fall at an Indian hotel, Seems to be a bit of habit that. 🤔

Yeah well done Santa for killing 3 service personnel who were just doing their job.

It may not be to everyone's taste on here, but squaddies no matter who they serve are just doing what they are told by their superior's ! No family (on either side) deserves to lose someone at this time of year.

These particular 'squaddies' were actually the pilots of the bomber aircraft that are murdering Ukrainian citizens en masse in a futile war launched by their own country with no provocation whatsoever. You are of course right that all deaths are a tragedy for the families involved and on a personal level they of course have my sympathies but the reality of this one is that their deaths will save the lives of people who really are innocent. They could have resigned their commissions rather than knowingly murder people - 'Just following orders' went out with Eichmann:
