City on the brink of making a possible signing (loan, or maybe small fee) according to an unknown source connected to a well-known Premier League club.

Any indications as to whom?

Still nothing imminent but no offers for our players either.

I still think Key will probably go this summer. To be honest lets hope Ethan Ampadu leaves for Newcastle for a silly fee of £25m with add on's and then we will be fine for a few more years.

The loan thing bothers me a bit as I think Dawson’s success hides a wider truth that our loan signings have been pretty hit and miss in the Taylor reign. That’s not necessarily a criticism of MT but more a view on what that market is like. Think we’ve generally done better with our free transfers…

Good

Dawson
O’Shea
Kane Wilson (second spell though)

Average

Abrahams
Ogbene
Wilmott
Jokull
Zanzala
Phillips

Poor

Donovan Wilson
Jaden Brown
Robbie Cundy
Jay Richardson
Edwards
Amond

Obviously you can split hairs with those categories but I think the overall picture is pretty clear

Yeah its been a bit hit and miss on that front. From Taylor’s comments it seems like we’re first in line to discuss terms with some loan players so just got to hope they want to come here.

I still expect a couple of permanent deals which may come sooner but Taylor is very much keeping things close to his chest.
