We will need signings like Cam to be competitive and push on , but how far do we push the boat out to secure him and not put the club in financial jeopardy.
Hopefully we could reach some agreement with Wednesday or do some sort of deal for Lee . We’re obviously looking to sell Lee in the not to distant future 🤷🏻‍♂️
I think Dawson is one of those signings who fell on our lap a little. Moore has loaned us players previously and obviously feels we add value to players whom he has loaned in the past which meant they where happy to accept what we could afford to pay, we get a Top end lge 1 goalkeeper and they get the player playing as number one all season. A pure win win. I hope more than anyone we can sign Dawson next season, whether permanent or on loan as he is a class above any keeper 4 we have had since the trust took over.

If this is true doesn't sound loke Cam will be first choice at Wednesday.

But it does say Wednesday are looking to get a keeper from one of their League One rivals.

That's us isn't it?

With BPF going back to Burnley and Joe Wildersmith looking like he is being released, Wednesday need another keeper as well as having Cam back. A club like Wednesday can easily support two experienced keepers and have them competing for the No 1 spot. From what Darren Moore is saying it looks like a competition between Cam and any new goalkeeper they sign. If they sign two new experienced goalkeepers that would change things.

If Carlsberg did football clubs...
What about Joe Wildersmith?

Would get a glowing recommendation from Cam..

Agreed but that article says they would have to pay a fee to sign Marko Maroši as he is one year into a three year contract at Shrewsbury. Not sure they'll be paying a fee for a backup keeper?

The article posted above says that CD "will get an opportunity to press his case for the Wednesday number one jersey.".

There's zero chance of him coming back here. We have to move on.

Thanks for the memories.

Wednesday would say that though wouldn't they? They don't want people knowing they're desperate for a new first choice keeper 😉

Could he be first choice for Wednesday next season?
