Maybe I'm over-thinking it but Matt Taylor does seem to have come back from our enforced break refreshed. The first half an hour of the Tranmere game was some of the most tactically inept football I can remember watching whereas against Forest Green he pulled off a tactical masterstroke - not just realising that three at the back was the best way to nullify Forest Green and get our best players into the game but also figuring out a way to make it work.

Everything is "a masterstroke" when it works. Similarly, everything Is "inept" when it doesn't. Welcome to the world of competitive sport.

Wycombe have got quite wealthy owners now, hence being able to afford the likes of Sam Vokes.
Watching Wycombe vs Sunderland.... See that Wycombe are still very proficient in the dark arts!

Don't know about saving his job but he has caught it. Not good build up for Friday, and who else in the camp might get it. https://www.devonlive.com/sport/football/football-news/exeter-city-manager-matt-taylor-6727964

The title of this thread Just shows how fickle football fans are . 5 minutes ago people were talking about Matt Taylor losing his job, now they're discussing him being poached by a larger club!

That's the fine margins in football. If he takes us up then naturally other clubs will take notice and may consider to try and recruit him, if he fails in our quest for promotion this season some, including myself, will think we need to move on with another manager.

Possibly intriguing that the two replacement delegates are a pair of loanees who (despite impressive but sadly brief debuts) haven't been at the club for more than "two minutes"?

Quite apposite really. Gives them chance to do a bit towards earning their wages, and frees up the fit players to concentrate on the hectic schedule coming up. It also could be interesting to have their views on the Club and team set up.
