Attritional first half an hour followed by lots of chances for both sides in the last 15 minutes. Our performance reminds me of the Harrogate home game last season which also came on the back of a thumping win. It's been one of those games where we've given away too many fouls, been caught in possession too many times and it's not really clicked for us going forward with Jake the only player looking a threat. You'd hope that Matt Taylor can sort it out at half time but we've thought that before and it's not always happened.

We had a great chance and Jay just needed to tap it over the line, unfortunately he put it where the only defender on the line was, not like Jay to miss that one. We've been off all over the pitch, terrible passes by both Hartridge and Sweeney all through the game. Until the 40th minute the game bypassed both Dieng and Kite. Jay has worked hard and got in good places but his end product today has been poor, Brown and Nombe have mostly been marked out of the game. Caprice has been playing well where as Key hasn't been involved offensively at all. Dawson has made 2 or 3 top saves in this half, he's just way too good for this division. Sutton have been allowed to do their thing, hopefully we change a few things and find their weaknesses for the second half.

Yes , too many 0-0 S will do for not just our promotion hopes but our gates as well..That’s assuming we can hold out for nil nil this game.Really , should it be like this if we mean to aspire to anything this season? We’re like a car you can never rely on that goes well one day and breaks down the next.Let’s hope we’re proved wrong and we come to life in the second half , can’t do any worse.

It's taken us 35 minutes to even remotely wake up but even then Sutton nearly done us on the counter. Josh Key needs to sort himself out instead of whinging, with good reason, about the elbow in the face got from Boldewijn. He's carried virtually no threat at all with Caprice carrying all our threat down the left. Were also trying to force passes through gaps that barely exist and Sutton are breaking quickly when they pick up the pieces. If it wasn't for wasteful finishing and one outstanding save by Cameron we could/should be at least two down. Taylor needs to send them out with a rocket up their collective arses.

According to the half-time stats Sutton have had only one shot on target so technically Dawson's only save was the Schemeichel-esque charge to the edge of the box, although I think he has done a good job of putting the opposition off a few times when they've been close to scoring.

Looks like another dismal afternoon at SJP, hope our outstanding manager can get this sorted.
