Swindon, Oldham and Scunthorpe are under transfer embargoes.

And these are the reasons why Swindon are under the embargo -
  • Regulation 16.2 - Failure to provide audited annual accounts
  • Regulation 16.3 - Annual accounts not filed with Companies House
  • Regulation 17 - Defaults in payments to HMRC
  • Article 48 - Non-payment to Football Creditors
  • Rule 10.1 of League Two Salary Cap Management Protocol - Failure to submit SCMP Calculation
  • Conditions under monitored loan agreement
Those are serious and unless the change in ownership goes through how will they be able to start the season?

The problem is compounded by what is effectively a three way ownership battle, which looks likely to only be decided in the Courts. The next date set is in September, and I fear that the EFL and FA will only fudge the issue in the meantime. There are clear breaches which need to be acted upon now regardless, before the start of the season to prevent the League 2 campaign developing into a complete shambles once again. Chuck the feckers out of the league and replace them now !

So, Reading under an embargo. Maybe they will be happy to get a fee for Jokul rather than send him on loan to a Lge 1 club..

I did raise the possibility the other day.

How are clubs allowed to continue rack up debt at a ridiculous speed? I mean Salford are £9m in the red and have a turnover of a fraction of that, with no apparent plan to get back to zero. They should be banned from signing players as a bare minimum.
For every £500K loss, teams should start the season minus one point. So Salford should start on minus 18. Then we would soon see a change in behaviours.

Good idea. And, if the opposite was applied too, we'd already have a foot in the championship (thanks to the Ollie - and Amps? - dosh) without even kicking a ball.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
Interesting that Bradford City are this season having a priority away card for supporters on the road.
£30 gives you first shout on Away EFL tickets.
Restricted to 1,000 subscribers(cut off 31st July)
A easy £30k for them if it’s fully taken up.

They must feel confident they are going to travel well this season.

Do their travelling whippets get a discount as well?

If so, the races along Well Street will almost be reminiscent of the old days at the Tony Rowe $$$ Memorial County Ground.
