That’s not quite right, the club can totally stand in the way! If the club doesn’t accept the offers the only way the lads can leave is to go to tribunal and its only the big 4 or 5 that is willing to do that! Be good to see them both stay as think MT would give them their chance this year👍
Happy to stand corrected. I had thought the process was that the lad was free to leave and then if the club's couldn't agree on compensation it would go to the tribunal.
Yes, it would be good to see our lads play for us.

No idea where you got this idea from. We went to tribunal about Troy Archibald Henville with Swindon and James Dunne to Stevenage.

We’re talking half a million each for these two boys , not tens of thousands for Troy and james , not many clubs will go to tribunal for that amount when they could get stung for a lot more, we reject all offers and the buying clubs won’t go to tribunal and the two boys stay with us , Easy 😂

I think any Premiership club (and possibly a few Championship clubs) will take a stab at a tribunal to be honest. What's a few hundred grand to them? I can see why City would rather negotiate though to try and get better add-ons than the tribunal came up for Ethan.

If only it were like that but unfortunately that's just wrong. They are free to go anywhere they like (as should be the case) and the fee will be decided by tribunal if we cannot agree a fee with the club they join.

Love your optimism. Sadly you don't understand the process. We can happily reject compensation offers but that doesn't stop the youngster leaving and signing for one of those clubs. Whilst there may be clubs that don't want to go to tribunal, those clubs won't be in for those players in the first place.

Yes you're right, they are free to leave at any time! However, I can assure you I 100% know the process and not many clubs will take the chance of going to tribunal, therefore the lads would be left without a club!

But only if the buying club are prepared to go to tribunal!

Ok that’s fine , I don’t know the process , let’s see how it pans out with these two then , and see if anyone takes a punt at a tribunal for these two, there are plenty of clubs who will make an offer but won’t risk tribunal

Tribunals award based on a mathematical model of sorts. Therefore most clubs know the ball park figure that a tribunal would award and tailor their compensation offers to that area. I am not persuaded that many clubs who offer compensation would be put off by a tribunal. Look at Chelsea. That wanted a tribunal from day one!
