I don't know anything about players contracts but I wonder if it would be possible to offer an injured player say a two year contract (or whatever) dependant on him being fit to play in three months for example . At which point the contract could be cancelled if they aren't?

Presumably you can offer a player whatever you like, but whether he would sign it is another thing completely. In Stubb's case, he might think it was better to just carry on picking up his League 1 wages at Fleetwood, sort of like Ajose !

Fingers crossed Stubbsy will be given the all clear to start preseason with the rest of the squad when they report back for training at the end of the month
