Looks like the German clubs aren't joining in at the moment. They are needed to make it a competitive league.
Surely the difference is that the German clubs are not owned by greedy entitled billionaires?

But the Spanish clubs aren't, either.

I mean Gary Neville nails it in terms of a response to this.

Unfortunately this proposal is completely reliant on the fans of the big six turning their backs on this idea and it will take football fans across the spectrum to not subscribe to it via TV, not buy match tickets and completely boycott these clubs in a show of unity. Any person whom is a football fan at heart cannot support these proposals. Its not a money issue, it is a competition issue. Although it will never happen why can fans of Exeter, Stevenage, Torquay, Yeovil, Burnley, Wolves and Leicester etc. Dream of working there to way to the top and not being stopped by closed shops and self protectionism. The whole thing stinks, but its reliant on the fans of the big six to boycott their own clubs, the authorities coming down strong and hard on this also which is unfortunately where it will fall apart.

Boris has come out strongly against the Super League and says it will ruin domestic football

Key point made. 'Reliant on the fans of the big six to boycott their own club'. Never gonna happen in a million years.

I wouldn't read much into that, his opinion is about as consistent as Randell Williams end product.

Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal are all owned by super rich Yanks who want to make bigger profits. C*nts.
They've already farked the FA Cup, but still not content.

Interesting approach from my local non league club trying to encourage new fans and highlight the community aspect of non league football against the backdrop of the greed at the top level.

This is the grim but logical conclusion of our elite football clubs being owned by billionaires with no connection to the communities in which they're based.

I never envy supporters of these teams, their clubs were sold away from them long ago. This just cements it.

Long live supporter owned, community football clubs like ours. We are very lucky indeed.

Cue lots of frantic electioneering without any substantive action to block it.
