Mann's Brown Ale. Haven't had a bottle of brown for a while until today when wifey brought some back from Morrison's. It was on the reduced shelf 50p for a pint bottle.

I'd call that a result.

Found some of these in the cupboard that i brought back from Scotland at the back end of last year. One of the top 3 ales i've tasted. It's called OSSIAN and brewed by Inveralmond Brewery in Perth. Beautiful stuff! Anyone had this before?

I was introduced to it many years ago by the owner of Watty's restaurant in North Street. Long gone. I'd ordered Drambuie and he asked me if I'd tried Glayva. I said no, so he brought a bottle to my table and we managed to drink half of it. He only charged us for the meal. Free drinks.😀

Have you ever tried Brandy & Lovage (an alcoholic herbal cordial)? I was introduced to it by an elderly uncle many years ago and it went down a treat. It is becoming more difficult to obtain these days, although it can be ordered on line, with pesky p & p added ! Lovely jubbly ! 🍷🥃

When I first started in the Ram Bar at Exeter Uni, there was a bottle of Lovage behind the bar. Never sold any and ended up throwing it away. Along with the likes of light ale and brown ale and no alcohol lager.
