One politics thread is enough.
Just saying.
Just saying.
No it shouldn't, This is still about our political and economic relationship with Europe and I'm afraid what happened 80 years ago moulded Europe and the UK and it is still relevant politically today, So this is the right thread.I think that there should be a new thread entitled "Politics Yesterday"
As with the fear of future EU federalism, it's impossible to counter an entrenched negative viewpoint full of 'possibly' and 'could', because it's your fear, and no doubt a justification for the UK bailing out. Just like dear old Stuffers believing strongly, despite no evidence, that Germany and France are on the brink of attacking Russia, that is his fear. Tavy has a fear of supranational governance, the sharing of sovereignty, despite no evidence of it being detrimental to the UK's interest, in fact the reverse is true, as we're seeing daily now........I don't see what it has morphed into (the current EU) as a peacemaker and possibly now a body that could exacerbate conflict......
Early days, although I could point to the EU’s and UK’s differing vaccines response to make a point.Tavy has a fear of supranational governance, the sharing of sovereignty, despite no evidence of it being detrimental to the UK's interest, in fact the reverse is true, as we're seeing daily now.

The very same fears fuelled by the Murdoch and Barclay press. Crack on fellas, pull up the drawbridge, erect the barriers once again, all these fears might become reality one day. Can't argue with that.
But it isn't Tavy. It's the modern Right's fear of anything different that doesn't benefit them, directly, financially. This issue is just another facet of the modern left’s obsession with controlling the narrative. The contrary view has to be denounced, even if it’s the truth.
Dangerous place to be.
The Toffs and Oligarchs may be looking into the whole world, the rest of us are constrained by the end of "freedom of movement".No pulling up the drawbridge. We are looking out into the whole world beyond the stagnant waters of the EU and its "Project"
You point out France & Germany there. It's pretty obvious the relationship between those two is pivotal to the whole EU project. To which EU country would you like to emigrate ?The Toffs and Oligarchs may be looking into the whole world, the rest of us are constrained by the end of "freedom of movement".
