Didn’t you vote for Boris? 🤔
Yes I did. After voting Corbyn & Labour in 2017.

Ousted Guardian columnist, Suzanne Moore, has said the reaction to her March trans article was as if "she had written Mein Kampf".

If someone like Suzanne Moore feels she cannot freely express her own opinions in Britain's leading liberal daily, something has gone badly awry.

Interesting to note too, that the editor in chief there, who is ultimately responsible for all articles that do get published, instead of backing her, conveniently hid down the back of a sofa and avoided taking a side hoping it would just all boil over.

Stuffy, do you actually think those youtube videos present a reasonable viewpoint? It smells a bit of alternative facts to me.

The recent rise in "independent media" and right wing social media echo chambers are what allow things like QAnon to flourish. The russians of course have been big proponents of this since even before the advent of the internet as a prime means to spread misinformation and exert control over their populace, (see Alexei Yurchaks work on late socialism, UC Berkeley, 2005).

So Public Borrowing now at £400 billion. Brown was castigated for letting it get to £100 billion.

If every adult in the UK \could just write a cheque for their £7,500 share and send to HM Treasury, Mr Sunak would be grateful.

It appears we've regained of our waters..

I don't think its all cut and dried as these "Wonderful" websites claim just yet Stuffers, Just a case of some bloke in the European Parliament saying there has to be some sort of compromise which TBH will happen anyway, So no "Victory" to either side.

Totally agree. Shameful. Contrast with JK Rowling's agent (called Blair, alas - no relation) when some of its authors left

In its response, the Blair Partnership said it took pride in the diversity of views represented by their authors but it could not compromise on the “fundamental freedom” of allowing authors the right to express their thoughts and beliefs.

A spokeswoman said it would always champion diverse voices and believe in freedom of speech for all but it was not willing to have staff “re-educated” to meet the demands of a small group of clients.

Fish was never going to imperil a deal.. Too insignificant economically -all just symbolic. Strange really given that a) the UK fisherpeople sold 50% of their quota to Europeans b) most fishing wealth is concentrated in the hands of seven families and c) a lot of the crews are from the Baltic countries because conditions are too harsh for young Brits

To add to the £2 trillion+ national debt to be serviced by our kids and grandkids.

Global Britain is going to be needed.

Triggered by your own country’s flag. Still some way to go for some who are trying convince us that Labour are worthy of our support again.
Projecting again? Who said I was triggered? You really need to give up this rather unpleasant habit.

An alternative explanation is that you are too dumb to understand what I was saying so shall I spell it out to you. I would rather people were judged by their actions than by their displays. I do not like people using ostentatious displays as a substitute for meaningful action.

For example.
1. I would value much more someone who has a standing order to the British Legion and did not wear a poppy than someone who merely put emotive posts on Facebook exhorting people to Show Respect for Heroes

2. I would think someone who led an important public service and provided pro Bono legal advice to poor people had done more for this country than someone who wrapped himself in the union flag, ordered his colleagues to do the same and then knowingly set out to make the country poorer, less safe and less relevant in order to further his own political ambition.

Is that clear?
