So, say we go up automatically and then lose Nicky Law and Randell Williams in the transfer market...are we covered by Jay and Richardson (providing the latter doesn't go back to Forest)?

Solid performance against a below average side. Thought only the CB No. 33 looked decent.

Nigel, Richardson and Jay were all worthy of MoM tonight.

an Ajose goal would have been the icing on the cake. Shame he didn’t notch, can see it’s starting to affect him.

Was anyone else expecting a red for Martin?! Late and possibly out of control just before Parkes ran off.

So glad that Matt Jay is being played more. Have always thought he was decent and couldn't understand why he was left out so much. The depth in our squad bodes well for the run in. UTC.

Class interview as always from Matt Taylor who immediately praised the ground staff for getting the game on. Tom Parkes had a dodgy stomach and ran off to use the bathroom; apparently he hadn't warned his manager that he was feeling unwell!

MJ and Nigel were awesome tonight, MT biggest mistake not playing MJ enough. Pitch was a real mess.

The red card was a turning point in the game. Oldham were pretty good in possession and had too much of it in the first half. Out of possession though they weren't up to much. When we did get the ball in their half we were getting behind them easily. Wheater would have done better to let it on rather than make the save of the night.

From then on it was one way traffic with Nige and Archie controlling the game and we had much more time on the ball. As soon as Archie scored it was game over. Very well struck but the keeper could have done better. Not sure what he was trying with Bowman's goal.

Ajose put in a real shift tonight and looks desperate to score but nothing really fell for him properly. MJ impressed again around the box and work rate. Good to see Jayden and Brennan getting their first goals.

Only set back really was Parkes going off, he sprinted off down the tunnel like he was desperate for the bog. Anyone said what was wrong yet?

Edit: thanks Sea Grecian for clearing that up 😳, get well soon Tom!

Did think the ref was gonna pull a red tbh so glad he didn't , Their 33 was a bit of a bully at times the only I would have been worried about was their 26 Jonny Smith who had their short corner tactic well planned out which they tried once too many times for it to work thankfully and City dealt well with his threat going forward.

When they announced Anthony Moxeys 60th birthday I thought it must be a different Ant as I was sure ours was about 80. 🤣

Parkes must of had the $hits. He sprinted off down the tunnel and then a few minutes later Moxey came on. He didn't appear injured.

MT said in his interview that it was the first time a player has run past him saying he needs the bog!!

Been feeling under the weather so hopefully be ok by Saturday.
