That is one of the most compelling arguments to remain I’ve read, by Sajid ‘no alignment with the EU’ Javid of all people !

Javid once said the UK’s best economic place was to remain in the EU and the single market. In May 2016, a month before the referendum he said the only thing guaranteed about leaving the bloc was a decade of “stagnation and doubt”.
“Just like the Bank of England governor, Mark Carney, and IMF head Christine Lagarde, I still believe that Britain is better off in. And that’s all because of the single market.......

Seems like blind ambition got the better of him.
Strangely no comment at all from the Brexiters on this. They demand answers from Remainers but are never able to respond to the hypocrisies and falsehoods
of Brexiters as pointed out by Remainers.
It's called "doing a Boris": hiding away until it's gone away. At least Tavers makes an attempt, but gets bogged down with his "attack the poster" not the post.
Sad.

There are no advantages to Brexit, so the only defence when the disadvantages are pointed out seems to be to erect straw men (all remainers are arrogant, dismissive elitists, out of touch with "ordinary " people) and then attack them....

Yep. You never get any rationale debate or even defence of BREXIT (or Johnson). They've all become Trumpians.

Javid was part of a Government that was campaigning to remain and now he is part of a Government carrying out the democratic imperative to leave the EU. Let it go fellas, it’s over.

It has not happened yet so we do not know.

It's not over, that's the point, "fella". There is a friction-less trade deal still to be negotiated by a government committed to diverging from EU standards. The Brexiters' rendezvous with reality cannot be postponed for much longer...

Clear choice for the U.K..
Acquiesce to EU’s red line on a level playing field or opt for a WTO Brexit with tariffs.
Interested to know which way the Remain lobby on here think the U.K. will go.

More interested in what the Leave lobby thinks. The Remainer position was summed up by Sir Dominic of Grieve, sometime in 2017. "Parliament has to decide how it wants Brexit to damage Britain - by being tied to regulatory regime we have no control over, or cut off from our largest trading partner - this is the choice before us".

So, as the crunch comes, and this decision has finally to be made, what do you think will happen, Tavy, Jinx and Ramone?
