I'd be stunned. He simply does get his arse in the box to manage that.
Only 6 more to go...

Its not just about how many goals an individual scores to say whether they're worthy of a place. Martin does loads for the team, he's skillful works hard, and is generally effective, hence why he starts most games.

Just in the wrong position for my liking. But if you're going to play up front then it really is about the amount of goals you score. That's your job description The rest of it means f*** all if you don't put the ball in the back of the net. Give me a striker who does f*** all for 88 minutes but scores twice in the other two over one who runs his arse off for the cause but cant hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Running his arse off causes mistakes and creates space for others. He hasn't been playing up front in a no 9 role he's buzzing around in behind. I'd taken Martin playing like he is (without scoring) over the lazy arse performances of Ajose earlier in the season. There's nothing more frustrating than a lazy arse striker, even if they bag a couple from time to time.

If, as you so eloquently put it, a striker 'does f*** all' for 88 minutes it's a strong possibility that he'll have been subbed before he gets the chance to score twice In the last two minutes!

This has just become a continuation of the FGR MDT. The discussion about Lee Martin is being covered there.
Regarding THIS thread, which is about the autos, things can go wrong for us, but they can for other teams, too..
I think the moneys earned from transfers has allowed us to strengthen the squad and we have a good chance. My prediction is that Bradford is nailed on and the other two autos are up for grabs. We don't need to fear anyone : we just need a goalscorer. Let's hope Ajose can return and earn his paycheck.

We have strength in depth which is a huge advantage.

I think this is our season. We were in with a shout last season, but we are definitely stronger this time around. Losing key players to injury simply will not be as bad this season due to the depth in the squad. Losing the manager to a desperate bigger club with a pot of gold would be a bummer though

A long way to go yet, realistically we need another 50 points.
