They've signed a couple of players in the last few days. Madness!

Maynard signs for Mansfield. For some reason Argyle fans are really put out - were they in the running for him?

Strange how their talented players seem content to stay in League 2 having just 'won' promotion. I guess for a player there isn't much prestige in League 1 v League 2 and it just comes down to the contract?

At least we won't have to face Jay O'Shea next season. He went to Australia.

If Carlsberg did football clubs...
Doesn't sound good. In football something often seems to happen at the eleventh hour, but will we end up having a free Saturday on August 3rd?
Macclesfield at home will be my first game in four years.

I hope what Bolton did last season (calling off games due to unpaid wages) doesn't become a thing!

As player why would you even contemplate going there - bizarre

Sadly some players are not the sharpest tools in the box, then get sucked in by agent's talk and promises from future employers about 'going for promotion etc. Then, once the agent has got his % cut, probably in cash, then you're left to your own devices if it all goes bosoms up!

But yes, i agree with you entirely even someone with half a brain cell could look at social media and any tabloid to see where these 'basket case clubs' are.

Lots of players are desperate to make or continue a career in pro football and will take a big risk, even in current circumstances. We could probably sign a dozen half-decent players tomorrow, if Matt T considered them right for us.

I accept this is partly guesswork but as I see it...
If you are a contracted player then you are a Football Creditor which means, if the club goes into admin, you should still be paid in full.

So, worst case scenario - paid in full.
Breach of contract.
Free agent again.

Football is a short career so maybe not as bad an option as it seems.
