After the last two games if Jono had have been on top of his game he would have been on 11 goals for the season (two missed opportunities last week and one this) - the same as Padraig Amond of Newport which wouldn't have been a bad return considering his game time.

However he is getting into the positions and hopefully the goals will come and his confidence will grow (he won't score however if he keeps hitting it straight at the keeper).

I'm certainly pro Forte, he isn't an out and out goal getter however he is capable of 10 - 15 a season if he is a regular starter. He brings a real threat to our play with his pace. We are a better team with him in it.

He created our first goal last week and he won the free kick for our goal today, he isn't scoring however he is playing a big part in the goals we score.

The standing ovation after being subbed v MKD was good for his confidence, he really felt the love and it was palpable.

Jonathan could be key for the run in.

Didn't do him much good, another bad miss today.

Reckon we'd have a promotion team if we had a reliable goalscorer, Forte looks good on the ball and gets into good positions but fails to notch often enough, Jay and Lee Martin don't seem to have goals in them either, We're looking for goals from midfield at the moment, got to be worth giving Donovan Wilson a try out or even a recall for Ben Seymour who does seem to have the knack albeit at a fairly low level.

Oh for another Tony Kellow!

With our new improved defence if we had a Kellow, Rowbotham or Cureton we'd be fighting for the title. Although most clubs in the top half could say the same to be fair.

I have serious concerns about our lack of goals from upfront. You need them in tight games. Can't just rely on Law & Co all the time.

Taylor quoted on Devon Live to say Forte’s knee is in a complete state and he will need to be managed in the same way we had to deal with TAH. Doesn’t look like he will play much this season so he’s basically a waste of a wage, and probably not an inconsiderable wage at that.

Sounds like he needs to retire for the long term benefit of his own health.

Especially when MT refers to JF's "ability to be mobile in later life".

Indeed. Surely it’s not worth the risk for him. Maybe the club will monitor things and if it gets too much for him then some kind of arrangement will be made to let him go....
