You'd have thought that Mclaren would have had a better race given there's been a yet another huge burst water main on the main road right outside their Woking base for the past 2 weeks and therefore conditions for all the workforce have been very similar to those found in Sao Paulo.

Whilst Lewis has his faults, I would laugh quite loudly if Rosberg failed to get the title. Lewis might even slip Manor a few million of his loose change to have 1 of their drivers 'accidently' knock into him.

Or Rosberg might take a leaf out of fellow countryman Schumacher's book, and take Lewis out at the 1st corner !

Don't blame Hamilton for slowing up and backing Rosberg back into Mad Max and Vettell....he was desperate and had to try something added some drama for a few laps anyway.....can't take anything away from Rosberg he's a worthy champion this year.

He and Hamilton did have rather better cars than their fellow competitors. I imagine the engines Mercedes supplied to their customers probably weren't as A1 as the engines they used.

They could, but wouldn't it be better to replace Rosberg with a less noteworthy driver thereby they could claim their car's superior technology could make a champion from any reasonably competent driver?

I suppose you've gotta try and think how the German mind works. They could go for a less successful German like Hulkenberg, Aussie Ricciardo or try and rub Renault's nose in it by employing Grosjean.

With the constructors championship being their priority they probably wouldn't want to risk someone in the less noteworthy category....although Bottas could be worth a go!

The Germans have always had super-competitiveness about them. Some years ago when "It's a Knockout" was at the height of it's popularity, one of the games in the Germany held contest had individuals from each participating country racing about on miniature tractors. Well, during the race rehearsal before the next day event, the GB team noticed that the German Tractor was decidedly faster than anyone else's, so, in the dead of night, armed with a screwdriver, the British team removed the German plate and replaced it with the GB one. We didn't need a Lewis Hamilton to win that one.

A German general once said, "You British will always be stupid, we Germans will never be gentlemen." Certainly not gentlemanly and certainly not so stupid.

While 'Knockout' set out to entertain, the desire to win was evident in all the national teams, anyone 'not giving a toss' wouldn't have passed muster.
