Exeter City Match Day Programme Sells for £256

An Exeter City programme from the successful 1932/22 season has just been sold on ebay for £256. The original programme would have cost 2d (about ½p in today’s money).

The programme was for the Bristol City home game, played on Saturday 27th August which was the season opener. City won that game 2-0 with goals from Welsby and Poulter. 9,500 fans attended.

Wonder what else parents/grandparents might have in their attics which are considered junk, fit only for the council tip?

Post war programmes, even the 1940s tend to go for about 99p to £5. Pre-war have quite a premium, but it is rare that they go for much above £120, so this is an excellent price. The programme is not in great condition either!
