Exeter City Thank Carpetright

Exeter City’s three-year front of shirt sponsorship contract with Carpetright has come to an end. The Club have put on record their thanks to the company for it’s support.

The partnership saw Carpetright supporting Exeter City through sponsoring both the men’s and women’s teams. In addition to this Carpetright also gave to grass roots community clubs, through the “We Win You Win” competition, which saw them donating £500 to a local sports club every time Exeter City won a match – in all the donations totalled £15,000.

Amongst the winners have been youth and senior football teams, a water polo club, rugby squads and walking football teams.

Nick Hawker, chair of Exeter City Supporters’ Trust, said:-

We are very grateful to Carpetright, who have been a fantastic sponsor and partner, in the truest sense of the word, over the last three years. Their support has enabled our club to grow and develop and has been a major part of our success, both on and off the pitch.

They really understood the importance of connecting with their community, something we embrace as a supporter owned club, so it has also been wonderful to see their donations to local sports clubs, many of whom were in real need of support during the pandemic.
