Exeter City’s Mileage Next Season
With Sheffield Wednesday confirming their promotion to the Championship at Wembley yesterday we now know the 24 teams in the EFL League One.
Plenty of miles for Exeter City next season, second only to newly promoted Carlisle (>10,000 miles return). Carlisle’s mileage is twice that of League One teams Northampton Town, Burton Albion and Derby County whose two-way mileage is less than 5,000 miles.
The shortest trips for Exeter City will be Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Portsmouth. The longest trips will be Carlisle United, mewly relegated Blackpool and Fleetwood Town. No doubt exiled London Grecians will be delighted with two London clubs next season so short trips for the exiles to Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic.
