Shrewsbury Town Take Ryan Bowman for an Undisclosed Fee
Ryan Bowman leaves Exeter City on a transfer to League One side Shrewsbury Town. The fee has not been disclosed.
Ryan Bowman joined from Motherwell in January 2019 for a nominal fee primarily as a replacement for Jayden Stockley. He’s made 112 appearances as a Grecian, scoring 34 goals. Six of those goals came against in November and December last year when Ryan scored a hat-trick in consecutive home games against Colchester United and Tranmere Rovers.
We wish Ryan all the best on his move, a player that was always committed to the job.

Town Manager Steve Cotterill said of his new man:-
He’s all action, he does everything. He’s played up-front by himself which is a rarity these days with strikers. He runs hard, he runs quick and he runs in behind teams which is another rarity.
He holds the ball up well and has a good touch for a big man. He scored 14 goals last season, none of them penalties. I don’t see any reason why he won’t score as many goals here as he has for Exeter.
There is a shortage of free agents up top at the moment. We’ve ended up paying a fee for Ryan but I think it will be money well spent.
