Next Up: Exeter City vs West Ham B

With City producing a stirring second half display to see of Cheltenham and maintain an excellent return to form, the slightly unwelcome distraction of the EFL Trophy looms large once more with the visit of West Ham’s youngsters. Matt Taylor will no doubt use the fixture to give game time to his fringe players, with the likes of Hamon, Oates, O’Shea, Collins, Ogbene and Jay likely to feature.

While most of the players in West Ham’s squad will not be familiar to anyone outside East London, one player who featured in last week’s 2-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers in this competition was Reece Oxford, who burst onto the scene as a 16 year old in 2015, producing a man of the match display in a win over Arsenal, before spending last season on loan in Germany.
