Fulham Away in the League Cup

After Exeter City successfully negotiated their way pass Ipswich Town on penalties on Tuesday night, their reward is a second round tie against Premier League side Fulham.  It will be a fine challenge to Matt Taylor in his first season as a manager of Exeter.

The game will take place at Craven Cottage possibly on Tuesday 28 August, but may well change to another evening that week.

Fulham were promoted to the Premier League this season after beating Aston Villa at Wembley in a play off final. They’ve spent big during the summer in a bid to be a long term member of the English Premier League.

The two sides last met was on Boxing Day 1996 in a Division 3 match, which ended 1-1 in front of 7892 fans.

Date and ticket information will be issued in the next few days.
