Exeter City have confirmed the release of Jamie Reid after 10 years at the Club. Torquay United have then announced that they have signed 23 year old Jamie on a Permanent basis to the end of the 2018/19 season. This is the second season that Jamie has been on loan at Torquay, and he has had three spells on loan at Plainmoor. Jamie has also been out on loan at Dorchester and Torquay.
Jamie Reid made his debut away to Wimbledon on Saturday 13 April 2013 and scoring two goals in a 2-2 draw. It could have been a hat-trick if Cureton hadn’t been ruled offside (see Tisdale’s comments here).
Jamie had also played for Northern Ireland’s U19s and U21s, and the injury looked bright. However, he suffered a hip injury which revealed a longer term problem and his appearances were restricted for a couple of seasons.
Jamie played 23 times for Exeter, starting in 12, and scored three goals.
