Ryan Brunt Pens Exeter Deal

Exeter City have reported that former Plymouth Argyle striker Ryan Brunt has put pen to paper on a permanent contract at Exeter City.

Brunt, 24, has been training with the Grecians during pre-season and has impressed manager Paul Tisdale enough to earn a contract at the club. Ryan got some minutes under his belt, including a few minutes at Bath where he tweeted after the game:-

Ryan Brunt @Bruntyy Jul 14
After 16 very long months, I finally got back on the pitch tonight!! 🙌🏼🙏🏻 lots more hard work to be done, but what a feeling 😃😃⚽️⚽️⚽️

Ryan Brunt also scored for Exeter in a friendly against Taunton Town.

Brunt, who started his career off at Stoke City, has not played a competitive match for 16 months having suffered a serious knee injury playing for Plymouth Argyle in a match against Barnet in March 2016.

However, Tisdale admits he has been impressed by Brunt’s performances in training and pre-season matches. He has yet to play a full 90 minutes for the Grecians but has looked bright in friendly games, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3-0 win over Taunton Town on July 20.

Paul Tisdale commented:-

Ryan has made very good progress during the month that he has been with us. Clearly he has been out for length of time but we are confident that we will get him back to full fitness and he will be an important member of our squad.
