Toby Down goes on loan to Weymouth

Weymouth Football Club have announced that they have signed Exeter City’s young defender Toby Down on a long-term loan deal.

Toby played for the Terras last season in a month long loan. After his spell with the Terras, he saw out the rest of the season on loan at local rivals Dorchester Town. We look forward to welcoming Toby back to the Bob Lucas Stadium.

Terras assistant manager, Paul Maitland, had some words about the loanee:-

Toby made a big impression at the club when he came on loan last season. He is keen to come back and he’s grown as a player. He is used to working in the way we want to work. We would like to thank Exeter City for allowing us to take Toby on this long-term loan and for letting us work with him throughout the pre-season schedule.

Exeter play Weymouth at the Bob Lucas in a pre-season friendly Saturday 29th July with a 3pm kick off. The Terras are managed by former Exeter City player Mark Molesley.
