He is someone who has always impressed us. He is powerful, a good athlete and has plenty of experience for someone his age so we think he will do very well for us. I know a number of clubs were monitoring his situation so we are delighted that he will be with us and part of what we hope will be a successful season back in League 1.

It’s an exciting move for me. I saw for myself last season what a good team it is here at Oxford and it represents a great new challenge. I can’t wait to get back for pre-season and get started now.

We wish him well on his move.
