Joel Grant Added to Jamaica’s Copa America Squad

The 1931 funded Exeter City player Joel Grant has been added to the Jamaican squad for the Copa Americana which is being held in the USA. Grant has replaced the injured Simon Hawkins.

Grant headed a goal for Jamaica in the recent friendly against Chile in which the Reggae Boyz won 2-1.

The tournament runs from 3-26 June. Jamaica’s first game is on Sunday 5 June in a Group C match against Venezuela at Soldier Field, Chicago. Kick off is at 10pm BST. The game will be shown live on Premier Sports.

Joel Grant is expected to be on the bench for the three group games, but may well make an appearance. As well as Venezuela, Group C includes Mexico and Uruguay.

He’s even been honoured with a sticker (purchasable on the US version of Amazon).
