Shirt Sponsors to Provide Flight to Liverpool for Exeter Players

The locally based airline company Flybe will flying Exeter City’s squad to the North-West for the FA Cup third round tie at Liverpool on Wednesday 20th January.

The airline have been sponsoring the Grecians’ shirt sponsor since 2002 in a longest-established corporate sponsorship.

Flybe have been able to organise one of their planes to undertake a ‘day return’ charter to fly the players from Exeter’s international airport to Liverpool’s airport.  The squad and the management team will then be able to return to Exeter after the game.

Phil Delaney, Flybe Director of Sales commented:-

We are absolutely delighted to show this added support to Exeter City for this very exciting match. Ideally we would have loved to have put on more flights but, logistically, it is a complex issue to add in an extra flight after a schedule has been planned, and it is not often possible – especially at such short notice. We wish the team every success and look forward to them flying home with us following another superb match – and of course, hopefully triumphant!

Exeter City Chairman Julian Tagg, expressed his delight that, as a result of Flybe’s actions, the team will now be flying direct from Exeter to Liverpool on Wednesday:-
