Pompey JPT Tie Date Confirmed

The Club have confirmed that this season’s first round Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Portsmouth will take place on Tuesday 1st September 2015. Kick off will be at 7.45pm. Ticket prices will be announced in due course.

This will be the first of three encounters with the League 2 club, and comes a week after Exeter’s long trip to Sunderland for a League Cup tie. Portsmouth will have played a home tie against Reading in the League Cup.

The last time the Grecians enjoyed a win in the JPT was in 2011 when they beat Plymouth Argyle, at St James Park,  3-0 on penalties in the first round, but then lost 2-1 at home to Swindon in the second round. The 2010/11 season was the most successful, getting all the way to the Area Finals before missing out on a Wembley trip when losing 3-2 on aggregate to Brentford.
