Ribeiro Renews Grecian Contract

In news that will delight Exeter City supporters defender Christian Ribeiro has signed a new contract for the 2015/16. The Club announced today that the 25-year-old Welshman will be a Grecian for next season.

Ribeiro played 39 times for Exeter last season, but had a delayed start to the season due injury. He managed to earn three yelribeirolow cards, but netted twice for the Grecians – against Hartlepool at home, and against Burton. His ability in defence and bringing the ball down the wing, earned him the top supporters accolade, that of Supporters Player of the Year.

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale said:-

I’m really pleased that Christian is on board for next season – he enjoyed a very good first season with us and added a presence both on and off the pitch.

Now we are looking forward to welcoming him back to the Cat & Fiddle for pre-season training, and we hope that he and the team can keep growing and progressing as we aim to have a successful season.

The news will cheer up City fans, who were dismayed earlier this week to learn that defender Jordan Moore-Taylor will miss the start of the season due to a broken metatarsal.
