Fluminense to Play Friendly at St James Park

While there has been no official confirmation by either Exeter City or the Brazilian team Fluminense, the news is that a young team visiting St James Park on Monday 20 July for a friendly. This will be a rematch of the game played at the historical Laranjeiras Stadium last year.

It will also be the 101st anniversary of the original Brazil versus Exeter City game, which led to the creation of the Brazilian national team. This event was celebrated by the Grecians last year with a tour of South America and a number of friendly games.

The Fluminense youth team will then fly to Prague and take part in the General CEE cup for under 19s, a week-long tournament.
