Mick Russell, aged 49, has been a Football League referee since 2004 his first league game in charge was Scunthorpe at home to Rochdale, a 3-1 win for the Irons, and Mick issued 5 yellow cards. The gas service engineer from Hertfordshire has taken charge of 4 Exeter City games, including the Grecians win at Prenton Park earlier in the season. He refereed 20 games so far this season, showing 52 yellow cards and sending 3 players off.
