FIFA has announced the referee for match 62, the second semi-final, between the Netherlands and Argentina.

It will be officiated by 37-year-old Cüneyt Çakir from Turkey, and the game will be his third match during this tournament after officiating in the Brazil v Mexico and Algeria v Russia games. Cüneyt Çakir is the second referee from Turkey to take part in the World Cup, 40 years after Dogan Babacan officiated at Germany 1974.
