Jake Gosling Joins Bristol Rovers

The former Exeter City midfielder and Gibraltarian international has signed for Conference side Bristol Rovers.

The 20 year-old was released by the Grecians at the end of the season, having played 15 times for Exeter and scoring 1 goal. He went on loan to Gloucester City last season, and played 12 games for the Tigers and helping them stave of relegation, their manager was quite keen on signing Gosling, but would not have been able to compete with Rovers.

Manager Darrell Clarke said of Jakejake_gosling_pic

Jake is a creative midfielder who can play either side and off the striker. Marcus Stewart has worked with him before at Exeter, and really likes him.

He comes here at a good age, and he will be trying to kick on his career while he is here with us. He is a kid with big potential, and I look forward to working with him.

Chairman Nick Higgs said:

I would like to welcome Jake to the club, he is an exciting young player, and I wish him every success here.

Darrell is rebuilding his squad for next season, and Jake is another welcome addition.
