Arjen Robben of Holland speaking to nieuws.nl talked of their win:-

The first half, we just played really bad. We were just sleeping. We made a lot of mistakes in possession. Actually, everything just went wrong, we weren’t in the game. WWe had to work very hard for the victory. The Australians fought hard as it was their last chance. Their equaliser affected us but we were able to react.

We have take a big step forward. We have six points, which is the maximum we could have taken. Now we have one more group game and we want to play well.

Spanish boss Vicente del Bosque said he’ll not be rushed in to a decision about his future:-

This is not the time to reflect on my future. When something negative comes out of such an important competition then of course there are consequences. I don’t want to go into an analysis right now, there will be plenty of time for that.

We have players and a federation who are very consolidated, we are not falling apart. We will take the time to do what is best for Spanish football, and I include myself there. We must not make snap decisions on the basis of what has happened here. We played two games and were not able to overcome our rivals, Netherlands and Chile were better than us on the day.
