The Football League have released the fixtures list, so football fans up and down the country can start their planning.

What a start to the season! First up on Saturday 9th August is Portsmouth at home, and our first away trip will be to our Devon neighbours Plymouth Argyle. In between will be AFC Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup. Plymouth Argyle will then come to Exeter on 21st February.

Over Christmas we will have Cheltenham Town at home on Boxing Day – Friday 26th December, then away to AFC Wimbledon on Sunday 28th December. No New Years Day fixture, but Saturday 3rd January has Accrington Stanley visiting St James Park.

Easter has the long anticipated trip on Luton Town on Saturday, then Newport County visit St James Park on the Monday.

The season then finishes with the long away trip to Hartlepool United, again. The season will then finish with Dagenham & Redbridge at home.

The other long trip of the season, to Carlisle, will be on Saturday 7th March.

Exeter City fans will be travelling just under 10,000 miles next season on away trips http://www.exeweb.com/2014/05/27/grecians-will-travel-9890-miles-in-league-2-next-season/
