L2 Manager and Player of the Month for December Nominations

The nominations for December includes our very Tom Nichols for player of the month in League 2. The winners will be announced on Friday morning on Sky Sports News.

The full list of players nominated for December:-

Tom Nichols (Exeter City). On his first start for the Grecians at Accrington Tom set up a rare win for Exeter with 2 goals. He also scored an excellent goal in the Devon Derby against Torquay United.

Deon Burton (Scunthorpe United). Deon help Scunthorpe United climb to the top of the table with his 4 goals in 4 games.

Michael Flynn (Newport County). Flynn’s experience and goals has been vital in pushing the Exiles into a Play-Off places.

Ross Worner (AFC Wimbledon). As keeper this 24 year old has improved significantly over the course of the season, and has helped AFC Wimbledon to improved results recently.

Justin Edinburgh (Newport County). December was a good month for Newport County. Edinburgh’s side took 9 points from 12, with 3 of those games being away from home. A rewards for seting his sides up to be with adventure and positively.

Gary Rowett (Burton Albion). Gary has become a regular in the nominations list this season. 2 wins and 2 draws has put the Brewers in to 3rd place in League 2. Solid at the back with just 2 goals conceded in December.

Russ Wilcox (Scunthorpe United). Made permanent manager just before Christmas, Russ will have had no complaints about the rise of the Irons with 8 points from 12.

Mark Yates (Cheltenham Town). Cheltenham’s stuttering season finally got going in December.A 1-0 win over Exeter City and an impressive 2-0 win at Fleetwood Town.
