The Capital One Cup rolls in to town on Tuesday night (6th August). In yet another home tie, Queens Park Rangers will be visiting for the 2nd time in 5 years. The competition bring little success for the Grecians. A win over Yeovil Town in 2011 but prior to that you have to go all the way back to 1993 and an aggregate 2-1 win over Walsall.

Just the 2 games that Simpson has reffed us in and both were wins. First was last September when we beat Oxford United 4-2 at the Kassam. Then in the 3-2 win in December at Spotland over Rochdale. He sent Rochdale’s Terry Gornell off late in the game.
