Exeter City’s Player of the Year Voting Closes Today

Alan Gow

Skill levels much above that of League 2. This former Rangers player has been engow_featjoying a new lease of life since joining the Grecians  last March. Surprisingly only the 4 goals to his name this season, though the rabona at Accrington Stanley last August was something special! Criticized by fans for holding on to the ball too long, he has been missed since his injury in February.

Jamie Curetoncureton_feat

Thought to be too old at 37 for the rigours of League 2 football, Jamie has dumbfounded critics with his 21 goals so far this campaign. A firm favourite with the fans, shows full commitment to the cause. Runner-up in the Football League Awards for League 2. Has to be the firm favourite for this award.

Artur Krysiakafcw_ecfc_6

The man between the sticks has much improved during the season, commanding his box and keeping a clean sheet on many occasions.

Craig Woodmanwoodman

The new kid on the block. Dodgy start top his career at St James Park, gifting a goal to Morecambe. Almost ever present on the left of defence, his play has attracted a lot of support from the City faithful. Able to attack down the flanks, and a useful corner taker as well.

Danny Colesdanny_coles_2

The Captain. Recovered from a major injury at the end of last season, to play a full part in Exeter City’s assault on the top of the table. Has contributed a few goals from set pieces.

Matt Oakley

Midfield talisman, play maker and controller of the middle of the park. Creates the goals, and oakleyworked well with Cureton and Gow. His experience has been a contributor to the success of Exeter City this season, and his lost at the end of the season has contributed to the poor form the Grecians have suffered this season.
