Trains Disrupted After the Torquay United Away Game

If you’re travelling by train on Tuesday (15th January) to the game at Torquay United, then you need to be aware of travel changes for the journey home.

From 9pm engineering works between Paignton and Newton Abbot means that part of the journey buses will be used instead of trains. So at Torre station a bus will be needed.

• Torre dep 22:18 Bus service. Arr Newton Abbot 22.38. Dep Newton Abbot 22:48. Arr 23.22
• Torre 23:29 Bus service. Arr Newton Abbot 23:49. Dep Newton Abbot 23:59. Arr Exeter St Davids 00:34
• Torre 00:01 Bus service. Arr Exeter St Davids 01:41

The 22.18 means there is little time from leaving Plainmoor and getting to Torre. The Club has been asked to impress upon FGW, British Transport Police and the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary that these arrangements are not satisfactory, but nothing has come of that approach.

National Rail says that rail replacement buses can be found at the “Bus Stops on Newton Road Opposite the Stover Lodge Hotel“.
