Barry Ferguson to Face the Grecians Next Saturday?

Fleetwood Town have signed the former Rangers player Barry Ferguson on loan from Blackpool this week. Even though he played 45 times for Blackpool last season, he has only mustered 7 appearances this season and has been put out on loan by Holloway.

Fleetwood Town Chairman Andy Pilley said

Barry is fantastic coup of the football club and a massive signing. ‘His footballing credentials are second to none and this is a huge, huge day for Fleetwood Town. Discussions have been held this week and Barry has really bought into the Highbury project, so much so he has taken a pay cut to drop into League 2. We are a hugely successful and progressive club and signing someone who has achieved so much in the game speaks volumes for our footballing aspirations.

His achievements are 45 Scottish Caps to his name. Captained Scotland a total of 28 times and has played Premiership football for Birmingham and Blackburn. His transfer fees total £13m. His Career stats so far are 602 Appearances and 67 Goals He was also awarded an MBE in June 2006
