Am I the only one who couldn't give a flying **** about the Chiefs? Never have been a rugby fan, so why should I bother getting excited just because they're based in Exeter.

Some bint on the bus last night had a right go at me for not supporting the Chiefs when I was saying to my wife that I didn't really care. She said "You have to support them". No I don't, **** off.

Well done though :)
Haha my thoughts exactly!

There's no mention that I can find on Chief's forum about us or Wembley.

Not a word.

Re: Well done Chiefs.

Perhaps there'll be a Tony Rowe takeover? Would you say no?
Yes, why would you want him in charge?

Very few Cornish care much for ECFC, so no surprise there.

They're a very insular lot, the rugger buggers. Seems to me quite a few football fans also follow rugby but very few rugby followers also watch football.

Well, just in our happy little band there were 8 of us who went to both events supporting our teams, and 4 of them are regulars at Chiefs. Couldn't have been the only ones.

You're missing what I'm suggesting. A lot of people whose first love is football also follow rugby, but it seems to me that there's not so many whose first love is rugby that also follow football.

Last weekend was unique in the sporting history of the city whichever of the two codes you prefer. After the Chiefs win two threads immediately started on here congratulating them and their achievement and rightly so. Sadly though nothing from their supporters.

Says something about us.

An interesting test for the Chiefs this afternoon at Newcastle. With Gloucester losing and 2nd and 3rd placed (Saracens and Wasps facing each other, there is a great opportunity for the Chiefs to cement their place at the top of the pile, ahead of the run in.
